Privacy policy

How Divinely Touched looks after your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

Divinely Touched (www.divinelytouched.co.za) is run by Yvonne Vermaak in Cape Town. Yvonne is the Information Officer. You can reach her on WhatsApp or through the Contact page.

What we collect

  • Bookings: your name, phone number, email, the treatment, date and any notes you give us.
  • Health information you choose to share, such as injuries or pregnancy, so we can treat you safely. We only use it for your care.
  • Directory listings: business details for the public listing, and a contact person, phone, email and address that only we can see.
  • Reviews: your first name, rating and words, and an email if you give one. Only your first name and review are shown.
  • Newsletter: your email address and the date you signed up.
  • Purchases and memberships: the details needed to process your order. Card payments are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store your card number.

Why we use it

To answer you, arrange and confirm bookings, provide treatments safely, run memberships and the shop, publish reviews and listings you asked us to publish, and send the newsletter you signed up for. We rely on your consent, on our agreement with you, and on our legitimate interest in running the business.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the services that run the website and payments (our web host, email and payment providers), or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it, or as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Cookies and your browser

The site remembers your language choice and that you confirmed you are 18 or older. The shop and your account use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your cart.

Your rights

  • Ask what information we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Withdraw your consent, or unsubscribe from the newsletter, at any time.
  • Object to how we use it.
  • Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za if you are not happy with our answer.

Adults only

Our services are for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

Keeping it safe

Your details are stored on the password-protected website and are only seen by Divinely Touched.
